Raywal equals quality. That is why within the organization Raywal is working according to ISO 9001:2008. This quality mark guarantees the continuous strife to improvement of all processes and with that the quality of the entire organization.
Product quality
A lot of our products comply with specific quality marks, which are required for certain applications. Our products are continuously being tested for a.o. safe working load. These tests take place in our own test center, but also at those of officially recognized testing agencies. A few examples of quality marks we have on our products are: RAL, IAPMO and CE. A guarantee that Raywal products meet the terms of the strictest quality standards.
RAL-Quality hallmark
Walraven is one of the initiators of the ‘Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung’ (Safe Connection). The most important producers of pipe fixing systems have set up univocal product quality guidelines in this connection (collaboration). The ‘Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung’ has become acknowledged in 2003 by the RAL, the German institute for quality guarantees.
Benefits
The technical properties of the products, like the maximum safe working load, are established and published by means of a univocal measuring method.
Within the measuring method the maximum allowed load is calculated, taken a maximum deflection into consideration. With the ‘RAL-mark’ the quality of the pipe fixing products, like clamps and fixing rails of the participating manufacturers, becomes clear and simply comparable.
At this moment 2 measuring methods have been published:
- pipe clamps (RAL-GZ 655/A)
- fixing rail (RAL-GZ 655/B)
Measuring methods for cantilever arms and rail accessories are being developed.
RAL measuring methods take into account:
- failure load (also called breaking load)
- maximum deflection (f max = max. 1.5mm or f max = 2% of the clamp diameter)
- noise insulation properties
As a result of the above considerations, RAL tables do justice to the purpose of a pipe fixing.
The maximum safe working loads which are mentioned in the tables are based on:
- a by Walraven developed measuring method
- the measuring method prescribed in the testing prescriptions RAL-GZ 655, which is set up by the ‘Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung’. If the product is provided with the ‘RAL-mark’ the test results are checked by an independent testing institute.
The ‘RAL-mark’ is exclusively given to products which satisfy high quality standards and is an evidence of quality. This gives the users of pipe fixing systems certainty and trust!
